Our Purification and Detoxification Process at Unify Chiropractic

How

FUEL – Purification

• Toxins

We live in a world where our food and atmosphere contain toxic chemicals. There are approximately 80,000 chemicals registered for use in the U.S. and research has shown that while our body is designed to detoxify these toxins naturally, many of these chemicals disrupt our immune, endocrine, nervous, and reproductive systems. As the body becomes overburdened with toxicity, purification should be utilized to support and aid the body in the expelling and metabolizing of external and internal toxins.

• Where do these toxins come from?

– External:
Medications
Vaccinations
Preservatives and Food additives including Growth Hormones
Air and Water pollution
Pesticides and Herbicides
Industrial Chemicals
Household Washing and Cleaning Products
Personal Care/Hygiene Products

Heavy Metals (amalgam fillings)
– Internal:
Free Radicals
Ammonia
Carbon Dioxide

FUEL – quality supplements

Quality Supplements (Vitamins)

  • Standard Process
  • Why Standard Process?

For more than 85 years Standard Process has made nutritional supplements with whole food ingredients. They continue the philosophy of the founder, Dr. Royal Lee, whose goal was to provide nutrient as they are found in nature. The formulas provide safe, high-quality nutritional support with unique combinations of synergistic ingredients.

• Organic Farm
The Standard Process certified organic farm has more than 350 acres of nutrient-rich land. They are one of the few supplement companies who have their own organic farm. Using organic farming methods, they harvest many of the ingredients for the formulas on site. They have zero tolerance for genetic modification and use certified organic seeds or seeds harvested from their own organic crop whenever possible. Growing many of their own crops ensures quality ingredients from seed to supplement.

Dr. Shay reminds us: “The human body has an amazing ability to heal itself. Diet and high quality supplementation provide us with nutrients essential to this process. Vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, and phytonutrients should be derived from our food as nature intended. And while it is important to know that food does not contain the same nutritional value as that of our forefathers, we can still supply our body with the necessary nutrients via whole food supplements. ”

TECHNIQUE – therapy

• Physiotherapy for Injury Rehabilitation
Electrical Muscle Stimulation (also known as e-stim or stim therapy)

• Wave Forms
• Interferential
The most common current utilized as it is comfortable and is versatile in being able to treat both acute and chronic pain

• Russian
Uses include increasing muscular strength and re-education of muscle groups after a nerve pathway has been damaged (such as in a Stroke)

• Pre-modulated (pre-mod)
Essentially the same as interferential, but utilized when treating small areas that are impractical to use the four treatment pads required with interferential treatment.
Thermal Therapy
• Ice (Cryotherapy)
• Ice therapy is often used to reduce swelling and inflammation in the initial phase of injury. Ice causes veins in the treated areas to constrict which numbs the area to pain. When the cold is removed, blood rushes into the treated area carrying nutrients necessary for healing and minimizing tissue damage.
• Heat (Hydrotherapy)
• Heat therapy is used to increase circulation (blood flow) and relax muscles that often tense and spasm in the presence of chronic pain. When used in combination with other treatment modalities, patients often experience pain relief after their first Chiropractic visit.
Therapeutic Massage
• Therapeutic massage involves the manipulation of the soft tissue structures of the body to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm and stress. This results in increased health, flexibility and wellness. One of the most important benefits of massage is improved circulation. When circulation is impaired, nutrients are unable to reach the tissue and toxins become stagnant within the body.
• Additional benefits:
• Alleviates pain and swelling
• Relieves stress
• Reduces high blood pressure
• Promotes faster healing of strained muscles and sprained ligaments
• Relieves muscle spasms
• Increases muscle tone and flexibility
• Increases blood flow
• Promotes faster rehabilitation after an injury
• Reduces formation of excessive scar tissue
• Treats injuries caused by sports, auto accidents or work
• Promotes peace of mind and lowers levels of anxiety
• Massage is currently offered on Tuesday, Friday afternoon, and Saturday. Call today to schedule… 727 440-0404

Kinesiology Tape
• Kinesiology Tape is applied over muscles to decrease pain, inflammation, and stress. The tape’s thickness and elasticity is designed to resemble skin which allows for support through the full range of motion without constricting or restricting movement.
• In contrast, more traditional sports tape is wrapped around a joint strictly for stabilization and support during an athletic event.
• Benefits do not only pertain to athletes as the tape may be utilized to assist the following symptoms and conditions:
